Chief CFI, CFII, MEIScott is excited to be returning to his flying roots and love of general aviation flying. Currently an Alaska Airlines B737 Captain, Scott’s aviation career began at a small FBO in Scottsdale, AZ - A flight school with many things in common with Flying High Again. Scott earned all of his certificates and ratings through CFII and MEI, before securing a Flight Instructor position and earning the FAA’s CFI Gold Seal. Grand Canyon Flight Tours and part 135 charter flying preceded an ATP and subsequent regional flying experience with Continental Express and Horizon Air. Always enjoying the teaching and training environment, Scott served as Flight Instructor and Check Airman with Horizon Air before moving on to Alaska Airlines. While flying for Alaska Airlines, Scott also served as a Technical Pilot on the Aerospace Technology Team designing and testing advanced RNP procedures. Scott has a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and loves sharing his knowledge, experience, and love of flying with fellow and future aviators of all ages and walks of life.
