John grew up in southeastern Wisconsin where his early childhood memories
include being a passenger in a small plane, landing with skis on a snow covered
hay field, and then taxiing up to the back of his house. He later escaped
the snow and attended Florida State University and received a B.S. Degree in
Finance.
After initially starting his flight training in Canton, Georgia, he moved to
Nashville in 2006 and quickly earned his Private Pilot and Instrument
ratings. Now as a flight instructor, John really enjoys teaching and
sharing his love of aviation with others, which often includes Saturday morning
breakfast flights to nearby local airports.
When not flying, John can be found cycling, swimming at the Nashville
Aquatic Center, playing guitar, or cooking out on the back deck.
