Emily grew up all over the Southeast (North Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia) and is now happy to call Nashville home. Although not from an ‘aviation’ family she has had a passion for travel and planes since childhood. After she graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Wildlife Biology, she decided to pursue that passion as a flight attendant for SkyWest Airlines. A few years later in April 2020, and itching to get her hands on the controls, she started her flight training at Flying High Again with zero flight time. In one year she attained her Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, and CFII, and then happily accepted a teaching position at the school where she learned everything! She hopes to earn a spot flying for an airline someday, and is thrilled to share her love of flying in the meantime.
When not in a plane she enjoys reading, live music, cooking, board games, taking walks, and drinking way too much coffee.
